The 1920 Collection is a celebration of the carefree days of summer, inspired by the enamelware and linen’s of my Grandmother’s summer kitchen.
Kata series is made with a mid range, iron rich stoneware and covered with white slip with patterns drawn through revealing the deep red clay underneath. The patterns in this series are inspired by Japanese wood block prints of the 17th century.
The soft, matte surfaces of the Seastone series are reminiscent of beach stones, river rocks and stormy skies. The muted colors and subtle textures of this series are an ode to natural materials and simple beauty.
